Lancaster Firefighters Historical Society was form to help preserve the history and traditions of the Lancaster Fire Department. It current project is to raise funds to refurbish Lancaster Fire Department first motorized fire truck which was purchased by the city in 1916 and they were inservice till 1937 when they were sold to a private owner. In 2005 the firefighters of local 291 voted to buy the truck back and the Lancaster Firefighters Historical Society 501 (3)c was formed to care for the truck. We are now in need of $25,000 to $30,000 dollars to refurbish it back to original state. If you would like to donate please contact Jason Scott or send check to:
